It used to pay to be literate
Once upon a time, you could get a great deal on eBay by simply being aware that plenty of auctions were spelled wrong. Assuming that most people doing a search on eBay would enter the correct spelling, these typo-ridden auctions ended up in some sort of backwater with few bidders. Now everyone seems to be in on to this loophole, so I guess even the less dextrous and linguistically challenged can have successful auctions.
